MIRA will implement a written notice of violation for rules, Programs and policies. Policies can be found om the MIRA website or within the ISR website and is the obligation of the racer or team to know them
MIRA has experienced rapid growth in the past few years and in order to control the events and the presentation that has caused this growth, we must put controls in place to continue to grow and maintain SAFETY for all participants while producing an exciting racing event.
MIRA race director will have the ability to issue a written notice of violation so that problems can be addressed with a record to follow up. The racer or team that receives a ticket will clearly understand what the issue is and what needs to be done to correct it. Every incident may not warrant a written notice so verbal warnings and suggestions may still be used by the officials at his/her discretions.
The options available for penalties are listed below, should an incident occur that does not fall within these penalties, the Race Director may invoke alternative actions with Board approval.
Written warning/notice
Drive through pit road, no stop
Stop and Go penalty
3 second, 5 second or 10 second stop in pit, Race Director choice
Loss of lap
Disqualified from the race, park sled
Disqualified for the season, all points forfeited
Permanent ban from MIRA events
Start race at back of the pack
$100.00 donation to MIRA points fund
$500.00 donation to MIRA points fund

Every effort will be made to match reasonable penalty with the nature of the violation, It should be noted that MIRA does not have an appeals process, so Race Director word is FINAL.
