1.Pro Enduro/Mini Enduro rolling starts and re-starts are controlled by the flagman and location of orange barrel. Flag will be waved at the barrel. Jumping the start or re-start shall bring out the yellow flag and the jumping sled shall incur a penalty of going to the back of the field, The pole sled (or sled in the first place at the time) controls the field for acceleration.
2.Pro Enduro race shall not end under a yellow flag. Should the track be under a yellow flag at the end of published laps, the race will go into “overtime.” Overtime will consist of Green, White, Checker. Number of overtimes shall be limited to 3.
3.YELLOW FLAG – if a sled is determined to be the cause of 3 yellow flags during any event, that sled will be disqualified from that race.
4.Any sled that causes a yellow flag will be required to line up for the re-start at the rear of the field assuming the sled is able to continue the race. The machine shall blend back into line when and where it is safe, then fade to the rear of the line once the pace sled is in control. Race Director and Flag Man will make final determination and will direct the sled as to proper placement in the lineup.
5.Yellow Flags – Corner workers are instructed to watch the incident for a couple seconds to see if incident resolves itself; like a spin out or stalled sled that is out of harms way. If the sled is in no danger of contact and corrects itself, the yellow flag is not needed. Doesn’t happen often, but it does happen. Simple issue to minimize the use of yellow flags. If a sled causes the yellow flag, it must re-start at the rear of the field. It may get in line where there is a safe opening in the field but then must move over and go to the rear. Flag man will enforce this.
6.Should a sled for any reason during an existing caution lose forward progress or stop on the racetrack for any reason; it must blend back into the field in a safe manner at a place where there is an opening in the field. The sled may not advance its position and may not be able to re-join in the position it was before stopping. If the sled that stops is the cause of the yellow flag, it will rejoin the race at the rear of the field. Race Director ruling (if needed) on re-starting position shall be final.
7.RED FLAG – Red flag conduct is that NO work shall be done to the race sled during a red flag condition on the track or in the pits. A rider may walk to the edge of the racetrack and receive personal safety gear; such as a shield, goggles, gloves, or legal jacket. Crew is not allowed on the track without Race Director Permission.
Should a rider have a need to leave the track for any reason, it must be approved by the race director or a MIRA official if the race director is not available. In the case that the rider leaves the track surface and does not return before the order to start engines is given, the sled will go to the rear of the field for the re-start or be removed from the track by the tow sled and counted as a yellow flag foul.
Should a sled not be able to start its engine; ONE crew member may be allowed to assist rider by pulling the recoil rope only. No work can be performed on the track. If after 2 minutes the sled does not start, it will be towed off the track and counted as a yellow flag foul. Once the field is being paced by the pace sled, the refired sled will blend in at the rear of the field for the re-start.
Red Flag violation penalties will be at the discretion of the Race Director.
1.Should a rider receive a sprint race, starting line foul such as jumping the green flag, that sled shall be sent to a second row for the re-start
The sled shall be at least 5 sled lengths back from the front row. The sled can take a place behind the front row as it chooses. It may line up in a gap in the front row or behind a front row sled, depending on what position is available.
Flagman will have final say on distance behind the front row that the penalized sled will line up.
After the first lap in a Sprint Race, should a Red Flag occur, the uninvolved sleds shall stop in the 4th corner and wait for instructions. The sleds will re-start in a staggered fashion depending on their running position at the time of the red flag. The sleds shall be one sled width over and one sled length behind the machine in front of them. The race leader will have the option for re-starting high or low on the racetrack and all other racers will line up accordingly from there.
