2026 MIRA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The MIRA Board of Directors would like to welcome Rob Brownlee to the Board to begin a 3-year term. Rob has many years of experience in the racing world and is the owner of a Pro Enduro team. We all appreciate the time and energy the entire Board puts into our organization to make MIRA the premier snowmobiling group in North America.
In April, MIRA had a spring membership meeting and awards banquet in Midland Michigan. Thanks to the volunteers that put this fun event together, it was a big success. Planning has already begun to the 2026 meeting and awards event, stay tuned.
The new 2026 race season promises to be a good one with cold temperatures forecasted and several small format changes to make our form of racing better and safer. Please be sure to check out the Policy and Procedure tab for the latest information the race teams will need to know.
The Fall Kickoff Meeting will be October 12th at Jay’s Sporting Goods in Gaylord Michigan. This is an informative meeting and a chance to say hello to teams that race in MIRA. Meeting will begin at 1pm.
Get those sleds ready and we will see everyone soon.
Karl Schwartz, MIRA President
MIRA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The MIRA board of directors would like to welcome Brook Maciag to the board as she begins her 3 years term. Brook has deep roots in the racing community with her husband Scott a former Pro Enduro racer and family members competing currently. Brook has also been helpful on race weekends wherever she could lend a hand. The board looks forward to her involvement and fresh ideas to help continue to grow our organization.
Re-elected the Board was Chris Reames and Joel Fiebig who have been serving on the board for several years now. Karl Schwartz will remain as President of MIRA.
MIRA has a very successful annual meeting and award banquet held on April 13th at Tree Tops resort in gaylord Michigan. Congratulations to the Mickey Myers Pro Enduro race team for the dominating performances and season points championship. All the class winners and participants should be very proud of the season they had and I’m sure they are looking forward to 2025.
Special thanks to Clean Media for all their hard work on the new MIRA website. NOTE: should any race team interested in adding their racer team profile to MIRA site! Reach out to Clean Media; cmsports@rogers.com. More race date information will be determined for the fall kick-off meeting sometime in October.
Special thanks to all the MIRA workers and supporters who work so hard to make this group successful. It is the long-standing family approach that is the heart of MIRA. Expect safe, fun and affordable racing to continue for many years to come.
Have a safe and fun summer but keep in mind we are only 9 months from doing it all over again. Karl Schwartz, MIRA President
